I am so behind in blogging any of my recent sessions but I’m trying to be good and stick with this project so here’s August’s 10 on 10.  As a reminder, this is a project I’m participating in with a number of fabulous photographers from both Canada and the US.  I was on vacation with my boys for the first week of August.  We spent it up at our trailer in Wasaga Beach.  I came back for the 10th to photograph a wedding so my images below are actually from the 9th (doh!).

Our monthly blog circle keeps getting smaller and smaller.  You can follow along with it by visiting the fabulous work of Rachel: http://afamilybond.blogspot.com/2013/08/august-10-on-10.html

ok I lie, the first image here wasn’t even taken on the 9th but earlier in the week.  I just loved it and wanted to include it 🙂

We spent the late afternoon at the beach and Connor cried all the way there because he wanted to go to the pool instead.   He can be quite dramatic at times lol

you have no idea how hard it was to get a shot of this toad!  We chased him around for a good ten minutes until I think he was finally too tired to jump away.

oops, close your eyes!  I HAD to include this one to tease them later in life 😉

Zach was wearing a helmet but we had a more dire need for it.  We found a ‘dinosaur egg’ (a very heavy rock) that the kids wanted to bring back to the trailer.  Just to note that Zach rides his bike extremely slowly and this road is a very quiet little street inside the trailer park.

  • Suzanne - August 16, 2013 - 10:30 am

The opening shot is a wower!! The writing in the sand was a favorite because it was a sweet little tag and memory of your trio. It’s so fun to see your day. xoxo

Fabulous beach shots Sara! Really like the double exposure and the first photo rocks!
Hope you’re well my friend xo

Another installment of the 10 on 10 project I’m participating in with a group of talented photographers from both Canada and the U.S.  The premise is that we take ten photos on the tenth day of each month.  My boys t-ball game fell on the tenth this month and as usual, we were late.  I couldn’t find Connor’s running shoes so I finally gave up.  They are the ‘Chocolate Chipz’ and Connor is a year (or more) younger than most on the team.  He loses interest after 20 minutes and wants to sit on my lap for the rest of the game (is it bad that I don’t mind?).

We made a quick stop at the grocery store on the way and as usual, we had to make a visit to the cake counter.  My kids sometimes like to think they are Ninja’s…they are a bit obsessed with LegoNinjago.

the plan was to take our dog Jessie for a walk once we got home but Connor ran out of steam…I found him like this when I finished changing Zach out of his ball uniform.

i love them all as usual Sarah!

This little sweetie was so kind to me and slept through most of the session.  She was probably the tiniest baby I have photographed to date and is so beautiful.  I <3 them all but the first was a group fav!

I was thrilled that she decided to wake up and gaze up at her parents throughout all the shots with them.  There’s nothing better than that!

These are gorgeous Sara! I know the parents just adore these photos of their precious little one.

I was so excited to finally meet Asia, an extremely talented photographer, to take photo’s of her and her little sweetie Lyla.  As I’m sure you can imagine, photographers are rarely in front of the lens…well I guess most moms for that matter so Asia and I did a family photo session swap.  It was soooo extremely hot that evening and the bugs were terrible but you certainly can’t tell from these images.

Asia, I hope you love them as much as I do <3
