We were so excited this year when we saw the weather forecast for the evening. We spent the day decorating and carving pumpkins (and yes, eating candy, lol). We had FIVE pumpkins to carve this year thanks to ‘Round the Bend Farm, who were giving away free pumpkins. If you have never been to ‘Round the Bend farm, I highly recommend it – they have wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, a corn maze, lots of animals, a play area for kids…and according to my kids, the best part of all is that they have lots of barn cats!
Anyway, back to Halloween…I dragged my boys out (who are no longer cooperative when the camera comes out) and marched them up and down the street taking pictures while there was still some light left in the sky. As you can see from the photos here, we couldn’t get them to take the candy out of their mouths for even a second. Connor, my 2 year old, was a dragon and was growling at people who walked by, while Zach (the skunk) was telling everyone he was going to spray them, lol.
We were out for over two hours last night trick or treating and needless to say, the boys slept in late this morning (yay).
